  • Access 

From abroad, the best way is probably to go to Paris (Charles de Gaulle Airport) then take the TGV train to Nîmes. The hôtel is then 400m far from the station

Car: You can access Nîmes via Autoroute A9 or A54.

Train: The SNCF connects Nîmes to Montpellier and Avignon by TER (regional train) and Paris, Valence, Lyon, Lille and Spain with the TGV. You can book your ticket at http://www.raileurope.com/

Plane: The airport Nîmes-Garons is 20km outside the city, but only offers connections to/from Liverpool and London-Luton in England, and Bruxelles-Charleroi in Belgium.

  • Visa

  • The city

Nîmes (population 140 000) is the capital of the Gard department in the Languedoc-Roussillon region in southern France. Nîmes has a rich history, dating back to the Roman Empire, and is a popular tourist destination.

  • Weather

October is a  wonderful month with the summer rush long gone and an abundance of warm, sunny day. However, with the wind the temperature can drop.

3 nights (sunday 30, monday 1 and tuesday 2)  are covered (will be directly paid by the organizers) for invited people, but they still have to book them.

In city center, Novotel hotels are ideally situated in Nîmes. Novotel offers a 24-hour reception with a buffet breakfast, Wi-Fi, a large room with a bathtub and a sofa bed for children, who stay for free in their parents' room if they are under 16.
